When transitioning from relaxed to natural hair, hair is prone to break, particularly at the spot where the relaxed hair begins. To combat this, hair needs extra moisturizing. We suggest starting with Long Lovely Locks’ Honey Silk – Pre-Shampoo Hair Mask which helps to protect the hair. Follow this up with Long Lovely Locks’ Green Tea Hair Cleanse. Next, deep condition with Blended Beauty’s Curl Quenching Conditioner. You want to make sure hair is moisturized so follow up with Blended Beauty’s Butter Me Up! or Long Lovely Locks’ Buttercup or Curly Custard.
Every once in a while you need to clarify. We suggest Long Lovely Locks’ Rain Soft Clarifying Shampoo followed by Blended Beauty’s Curl Quenching Conditioner or Curls Curl Ecstasy Hair Tea Mask.
For deep conditioning, we suggest Curls Curl Ecstasy Hair Tea Mask or Blended Beauty’s Curl Quenching conditioner..
We would suggest giving yourself a hot oil treatment at least twice monthly using Blended Beauty’s All Natural Hair and Scalp Oil as well as using Long Lovely Locks’ Herbal Growth Oil at least three times a week. You may also find Blended Beauty’s Herbal Reconditioning Treatment helpful to use monthly.
Transitioning hair is fragile so make sure to use a wide tooth comb when combing. Also avoid brushing as this can put stress on hair. Try using Blended Beauty Kick for Curls or Curls Quenched Curls Moisturizer to moisten your natural hair before combing.
