Because of the chemicals used to straighten hair, you must be diligent in maintaining the health of relaxed hair. We suggest starting with Long Lovely Locks’ Honey Silk – Pre-Shampoo Hair Mask which helps to protect the hair and prevent split ends. Wash hair with Long Lovely Locks’ Green Tea Hair Cleanse and follow up with Long Lovely Locks’ Green Tea Hair Gloss. Leave this on for 30 minutes to an hour. Follow this up with Long Lovely Locks’ Ginger Gel-O and/or Long Lovely Locks’ Coconut Hair Milk. If styling doing a braid-out or doing a wet set we suggest Long Lovely Locks’ Braidout Boyaux for braid-outs and Long Lovely Locks’ Curls de Light for wet sets.

Every once in a while you need to clarify. We suggest Long Lovely Locks’ Rain Soft Clarifying Shampoo followed by Long Lovely Locks’ Rain Drops Hair Moisture.

For deep conditioning, we suggest Curls Curl Ecstasy Hair Tea Mask or Blended Beauty’s Curl Quenching conditioner.

For daily maintenance, use Long Lovely Locks’ Coconut Hair Milk and/or Blended Beauty’s All Natural Hair and Scalp Oil. Long Lovely Locks Olive Glaze Pomade also provides wonderful moisture and shine to hair. Use Blended Beauty’s Straightening Glaze in between relaxers to soften and straighten.

We would suggest giving yourself a hot oil treatment at least once a month using Blended Beauty’s All Natural Hair and Scalp Oil. If your goal is hair growth, use Long Lovely Locks’ Herbal Growth Oil at least three times a week. You may also find Blended Beauty’s Herbal Reconditioning Treatment helpful to use monthly as well.
